Almost a full two months of coronavirus pandemic are behind us. We reorganized our system, completely switched to Work From Home (WFH) mode, and learned how to make things look easy from the comfort of our homes.

We miss many things – our office, team breaks, First Thursdays, team bondings… even all of our events. Meetups, JobFairs, Internship Meetups – we miss it all.

It is a very special feeling to be able to connect with people who want to learn more about your company and career opportunities. This is why we decided to do something about it and created a new version of our meetups. Instead of welcoming people to our office, we welcomed them on our YouTube channel. Being constantly at home is an opportunity to learn more and to obtain new knowledge, which is why we hosted three online meetups for Software Development, Data Analytics, and Quality Assurance, where Atlanters shared their tips and tricks for starting a career in IT.

How to Become a Developer?

Our Software Engineer Benjamin Jurić talked about the skills developers need to acquire, explaining how to use what you learn in the classroom in the best possible way. He also shared his ideas on the most important things you should know when it comes to software development. You can watch the entire meetup by following the link below.

How to Become a Data Analyst?

Nedim Karakaš, our Data Analyst, explained what Data Analytics is, how to analyze big data sets while extracting the most important information from them, as well as what sort of background you need to have to enter the world of Data Analytics. He also shared some great resources to help others learn more:

Courses:

Books:

How to Become a QA Engineer?

Our final meetup was about QA. Gorjan Kalauzović is a Test Engineer today, but he used to work in television, as a DJ, and even as a Software Developer. This wonderful mix of experiences added some extra perspectives to his work in testing software and he shared that with the audience. He also discussed what prior knowledge you need to have for testing, mentioned the most important skills tester should have and more.

We at Atlantbh hope that these resources will be valuable for all of you out there who are looking to dive into the world of programming. In case you have questions, you can always drop into our social media or website and ask. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
