As leaders in our industry, we recognise the potential of the IT industry and the opportunities it can provide youth. This is why we are always eager to help our local communities by supporting various activities, including IT education.
Over the past few months, we’ve donated monitors and computers to three organisations – “Deseta osnovna” elementary school in Ilidža, The Hastor Foundation and Bit Alliance.
IT education should start at a young age
The students of “Deseta osnovna” elementary school will use the monitors and computers for their IT lessons and projects, giving them the opportunity to get acquainted with IT at a young age. Additionally, The Hastor Foundation will further allocate our donation to two elementary schools in need, with whom they collaborate. The Foundation currently provides scholarships to 1976 students, so we have no doubt that our donation is in good hands. A representative of The Hastor Foundation had this to say:
“We would like to thank Atlantbh for the donation and continued cooperation which benefits all current and future scholars of the The Hastor Foundation.”
Bit Alliance, an organisation dedicated to the development of the IT industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina, will use the donation in their educational labs and they said:
“The computers and monitors were delivered to the INPUT Center in Zenica, where the largest number of children’s programming schools have been realised thus far. We believe that they will be very useful and beneficial in future endeavours.”
Together, we can be the change we want to see.
