Earlier this month, we hit the road to visit our clients in the United States. Seven days on the road led to some serious team bonding. Some of us had never visited the “New World” before, so we decided (after four days spent meeting our clients) to extend our trip.

As you can guess, San Francisco is like Disney World for IT companies because it is home to Silicon Valley i.e. Tech Company Central.

Just to mention: if you have a friend inside Facebook, you can visit Facebook’s campus 🙂

Some of our people also decided to make an unofficial visit to Stanford University, one of the world’s leading teaching and research institutions. We like to say that we went to pick up our diplomas 🙂

We visited Pier 39, one of San Francisco’s most famous attractions. This shopping belt is built on a pier and is home to the world-famous California Sea Lions. It has numerous souvenir shops and an equal number of seafood restaurants. While exploring Pier 39, we decided to get a bite to eat.  Because of the socializing and the place we were, we all think that we will remember this dinner forever.

Everyone has to travel at least one section of the legendary and historic Route 66 in their lives. So we traveled it too, and stopped to see one of the seven wonders of the natural world: the Grand Canyon. We can’t brag about it. It is really the only place on Earth that makes you want to look in all directions – up, down, and from side to side – at the same time. Just being there, feeling the place and hearing the sound – that was for all of us an unforgettable experience.

We didn’t want to talk about it, but we didn’t want to be in Las Vegas and not try the casinos and gambling. We thought we could come back home with money, but as you know, casinos in Las Vegas offer endless chances to lose your money. So, after spending some time losing money, we went to a hotel because we needed to keep some money to come back home 🙂
