“It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves.”

Edmund Hillary

We took a little trip to Vlašić Mountain for some good ole’ fashioned Team Building. After all, if you adjust your altitude you might just adjust your attitude!

The morning was all rain and gloom in Sarajevo, but as we made our way to Vlašić the sun welcomed us. Taking in a deep breath of fresh mountain air, we began the day with our workshop. The aim of the workshop was to explore our ABH Core Competencies, which every Atlanter has, and identify how we represent these competencies. By using yarn, we each had a chance to choose the competency we feel we must embody. In the end, we created an ABH Core Competency net showing how the competencies are what bind us together.

The day was also filled with some wild activities from zip-lining down the mountain, climbing through the trees in the adrenaline park, and shooting each other during paintball (ouch). Hey, it’s cheaper than group therapy. 🙂

To end the day we ate, drank, played cards and even board games, yeah those still exist. Then we sang karaoke till the early morning … because nothing brings people together like a strong drink and a broken voice. 🙂

Although we only spent the night, the trip felt much longer. We had a chance to bond in a different way, which is evident from the warm fuzzy messages we left one another!

What adventure will Atlanters take on next year?
