Hey there, design enthusiasts! Atlantbh UX/UI designers held a series of university lectures on UX/UI design at Burch University.

They talked about all sorts of topics that students had expressed an interest in, but also, they gave some valuable insights into the day-to-day tasks of an UX/UI designer and presented some super interesting case studies. To top it all off, there was a practical workshop on design thinking which gave the attendees a chance to get their hands dirty and really put their new-found knowledge to the test.

But wait, there’s more! As an effort to help educate and inspire, we created a challenge for students and aspiring designers who are looking for an opportunity to show off their skills and receive recognition. This is a great chance to improve your skills, visit our office, get feedback, network with other talented designers and bring home a gift.

Design Challenge

Join the challenge and visit Atlantbh’s office! Authors of the three best solutions matching acceptance criteria will get a chance to meet our Talent team and discuss your design with our team of UX/UI designers.

Task

Create a mobile application that helps students optimize their morning routine by addressing at least one common challenge that they face:

  • Waking up
  • Getting out of bed
  • Personal hygiene (shower, brushing teeth, etc.)
  • Getting dressed
  • Breakfast
  • Preparing for classes (packing backpack, reviewing notes, etc.)
  • Commuting to school or turning on computer for online classes

You can use our research findings to guide your design decisions.

Acceptance Criteria

Design a high-fidelity prototype of the mobile application in Figma.

The prototype should include a minimum of three and maximum of five screens that demonstrate the app’s key features and user interface.

Ensure that the app’s design is visually appealing and user-friendly.

Provide a brief case study that includes a summary of the user research, a clear problem definition, a detailed description of the solution, including design decisions made and how the solution addresses the problem, and the key features of your high-fidelity prototype.

The case study should explain how your app solves the user’s problem and improves their morning routine.

Send us your Figma solution through our application form by June 1st to participate!
