Among students, an ABH internship is considered one of the best internships available, so we always have a huge number of applications. In the seven cycles we have had so far, 49 interns completed an ABH internship.

Today, we started a new cycle of our ABH internship program. Eight young people with a lot of theoretical knowledge will have the opportunity to gain practical experience over the next few months. The six different projects, experienced mentors, and great working environment are all part of a well-designed concept, but the most important thing to the students’ success is their hard work and dedication.

How can you rock your internship?

Internships have become a must for students. Without work experience, job searches are significantly more difficult. But it’s not enough to simply get an internship. Your goal should be to succeed in the internship you get.

Here are some tips we want to share:

Research

Never underestimate the importance of research. It is always a good idea to search for more information than you need to. Try to explore and answer your questions yourself before you ask your mentor, but remember that you do not need to spend too much time exploring.

Ask questions

You are not expected to know how everything works. You might think you are being annoying, but you aren’t. It’s always better to ask questions than to do something wrong. We suggest making a list of questions so you will not take up too much of your mentor’s time.

Gain trust

You must try to prove yourself and take your work seriously. Show that you pay attention to detail, follow instructions, and care about quality.

Learn from mistakes

Don’t be afraid to ask what you could do different or better. Always try to use the feedback you get. It is normal to make mistakes, but it is important to learn from those mistakes.

Prepare for demos

Plan to finish your work five days before your demo presentation. That will give you enough time to talk about your work with a mentor and make any corrections.

We wish our interns the best of luck and great success!
