They say a room without books is like a body without a soul, and we believe everyone should have access to great books. During the month of August, our colleagues from Walter Code challenged us to be a part of “Books from ashes”, organized by Adnan Muminović. Books from ashes is a project that engages people and companies to help raise money for Sarajevo libraries. Of course, we said yes, and Atlantbh has donated to the Public Libraries in Sarajevo.

But we felt that more could be done. We have decided to go one step further with our community book donations and collect books for a small town library in our country. The decision on which library it should be was left up to Atlanters – and Stolac Public Library got the most votes.

During the month of August, we had a “book donation” table in our office, where Atlanters could donate various books.

Inspiring others by donating books

The collection table was filled with an array of books, ranging from classic literature to popular fiction, children’s books, and educational books. The diversity of the books collected showed the wide range of interests and tastes of the Atlanters, and the passion they have for reading and learning.

We have challenged our friends from Filatropski forum to join us in this action, and they also raised quite a few books! So, you are next – we challenge you to do the same. The book donation project was a testament to the power of community action and the impact that can be made when people come together for a common cause. By inspiring others to get involved, the Atlanters have helped to build a brighter future for the community, and they have ensured that books will continue to be a source of education, inspiration, and enjoyment for generations to come.
