Atlantbh organized Sarajevo Data Science Day, a conference that brings together all those interested or currently working with data.

More than 200 professionals, academics, students, and enthusiasts working in the fields of Data Science, Big Data, Data Mining, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence had the opportunity to interact with leading speakers and Data Science experts, as well as exchange experiences and knowledge with one another. Through interesting presentations and a panel discussion, participants learned about the latest trends and innovations in the field of Big Data analytics, Machine Learning, exploratory analysis and applied Data Science.

Atlantbh has recognized the increasing interest in Data Science on a global level on time. Subsequently, in collaboration with some of the world’s largest companies, Atlantbh has been using statistical tools and artificial intelligence algorithms on complex projects for years now.

The conference was opened by Atlantbh’s CEO, Milad Čerkić, who advised participants to join in on the Data Science fun.

Data is being generated at higher rates, while the process of analyzing this data and turning information into a valuable resource for the creation of  business strategies and innovative products, is what makes this area interesting to many leading companies and IT professionals. Collaborating with some of the world’s largest companies, we began our Data Science journey long ago. By investing time, using modern statistical techniques and artificial intelligence algorithms, and working on complex and challenging projects, we have gained valuable experience in this field. By organizing Sarajevo Data Science Day we want to selflessly share our knowledge with everyone, and connect and encourage professionals, academics and all other enthusiasts to improve and cooperate” clarified Čerkić.

Bit Alliance continuously supports the activities of member companies who aim to strengthen and promote the IT society and professional environment. Bit Alliance’s director, Tatjana Vučić addressed the public and said, “Data science is a very important field for the continued development of the IT sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We are very proud that Atlantbh recognized this and, as always, used their visionary approach to bring the future of technology to B&H. I sincerely hope that this conference will become a yearly tradition.

The lecture by Prof. Mirsad Hadžikadić, author of over fifty scientific papers and professor and director of the Institute for Complex Systems at the University of North Carolina, was of specific interest to the public.

This conference meant a lot to me because it has to do with technologies I have spent most of my professional life focusing on. It is a pleasure to see an event like this taking place in B&H”, stated Prof. Hadžikadić.

Prof. Emin Tahirović, from the International University of Sarajevo, also had a very interesting presentation. He said, “It’s very important to organize events of this type so that people can have a window into the Data Science world. For them to understand all the different things that are possible with algorithms and all the ways they can help in decision-making.

Participants also had the opportunity to learn about the applications of Data Science. Presentations by Data Scientist Milorad Vujković from Bravo Systems and Senior Data Scientist Belma Ibrahimović from Atlantbh shed light on Data Science projects and the solutions they implement and produce using modern technologies.

Participants agreed that maintaining events such as this is key to networking within the industry and the growth and development of the IT sector in B&H. We at Atlantbh are extremely pleased that companies and colleagues from the industry supported us with their presence. Together, we will work towards, and succeed, in developing the business environment of the software industry in B&H.
